Mediastinal huge non-Hodgkin's lymphoma causing compression of the main pulmonary artery trunk.
DESCRIPTION A 24-year-old man presented with dyspnoea on exertion. Chest x-ray showed an enlargement of the upper anterior mediastinum (figure 1A). Chest CT showed a huge mass with the size of 7.6×4.8 cm in the upper anterior mediastinum (figure 1B). This mass compressed the main pulmonary artery trunk (MPA) and the left pulmonary artery. Transthoracic two-dimensional echocardiography also reve...
متن کاملIntralobar pulmonary sequestration with an aberrant artery arising from the celiac trunk.
A 50-year-old woman presented with acute hemoptysis, dyspnea, and fatigue. Chest computed tomography (CT) showed an intralobar pulmonary sequestration of the right lower lobe with an aberrant artery arising from the celiac trunk (Fig. 1). A robotic right lower lobectomywas performed with an uneventful postoperative course (Fig. 2(A) and (B)). www.elsevier.com/locate/ejcts European Journal of Ca...
متن کاملPulmonary artery occlusion by tuberculous mediastinal lymphadenopathy.
Two cases of tuberculous mediastinal lymphadenopathy are presented in which the clinical features mimicked those of pulmonary embolism, causing striking abnormalities on radionuclide scintigraphy. It is concluded that tuberculous mediastinal lymphadenopathy should be included in the differential diagnosis of reduced lung perfusion due to proximal pulmonary artery occlusion.
متن کاملCatheter rehabilitation of occluded aberrant pulmonary artery.
A 10-year old girl underwent a CT angiogram to investigate right lung hypoplasia. This showed a normal bronchial tree, lung parenchyma and pulmonary venous drainage, but an absent right pulmonary artery. Cardiac catheterization with pulmonary vein wedge injections identified a disconnected hypoplastic right pulmonary artery system supplied by an occluded right-sided ductus arteriosus. Transcath...

A 54-year-old asymptomatic woman presented to our echocardiography department for assessment of a continuous heart murmur. The transthoracic echocardiogram in parasternal short-axis view (Figure 1A) revealed a tunnellike communication between the pulmonary artery trunk and the pericardial space (maximum width 8 mm). Color Doppler showed turbulent flow and pulsed wave Doppler showed typical cont...
